About Greece Mortgage

  • 15+collaborating partners

Who we are

Greece Mortgage is written for UK residents working out how to finance a home in Greece now that, since Brexit, they are assessed as third-country nationals. Think of us as a guide, not as a bank or an estate agent. We take stock of your situation, explain the Greek process in plain English and look for a specialist who fits it.

From Drachten in the Netherlands, our team coordinates remotely with our network of specialists and partners, which works in English and Greek. Our experience covers the Ionian and Crete alongside the rest of Greece.

You can make an initial enquiry without obligation, and the review it leads to is not a mortgage offer. What happens after that, and how quickly, is your decision.

Specialists and partners

Buying a home abroad takes more than one party. That is why we work with two groups.

10+ specialists

The people who do the hands-on work: mortgage advisers and purchase guidance specialists who know the banks, rules and regions of the country they work in.

15+ partners

The firms and companies we work with on a regular basis, such as estate agents, lawyers, notaries and tax advisers. They take care of their own part of the purchase.

These figures cover our whole network, across all the countries where we are active. The team and the network are still growing.

Property Guidance Network: guidance through the whole purchase

A mortgage is one part of the purchase. For guidance with searching, viewing, negotiating and completing, there is Property Guidance Network (PGN), our network for purchase guidance. The PGN website shows the countries where the network is active.

Every PGN specialist lives and works in the region where they guide buyers, from the first question to the handover of the keys.

What PGN-certified means

PGN assesses every specialist against six standards, when they join and at regular intervals afterwards.

  1. Local knowledgeDemonstrably works in the region and knows the market and the buying process.
  2. Local networkEstablished contacts for legal, building, financial and tax questions.
  3. Easy to reachAlso outside office hours, with an agreed response time.
  4. Real answersYou get an answer to your question, not a promise to come back to it later.
  5. Several optionsThe specialist puts several suitable options in front of you. You choose.
  6. Approved profileWhat is said about a specialist has been checked and approved.

PGN certification is PGN's own quality mark for purchase guidance, not a licence. For regulated advice, such as mortgage advice, we work with advisers who hold the required licence.
